Why do you think you need a proxy?

use a proxy server its not a bad idea. to create more backlink sometimes you need it. But its not safe and there are many websites that easily understand that you're using proxy server.

How is Google gonna know what IP you use when you make a link on another website?

    Does it really matter?
What if you are targeting a particular area which has placed restrictions on your local IP.

Just curious / But why will you prescribe SEO for India and you are trying to use an IP to place a backlink in the US?

When we miss the basics we get penalized, it is not Google.

    • You don't, your IP address may be recorded by the site you have submitted the link to but not by Google.
However, if you are using proxies then you are probably doing something questionable in the first place and there is a chance you will get into trouble anyway. Especially if you are creating 200 links per day, they will notice this as it wouldn't look natural. It sounds like you may need to focus on a more natural link building strategy if you want your site to stay in the SERPS long term.

You can use proxies while building tier 2 backlinks or mass links. Honestly i dont think google pays any heed about from which IP you are building links unless they are from sites hosted on the same ip.

I think some cases you can do it, but remember don't be a spammer. See on those website which are banned in your region then using proxy is good but not for all to build links with another account by hiding your IP.

I always use proxy or free vpn service to build links. If you are interested in using vpn service you can view bestvpnrating site and read there more tips. And yes it's safe but it also depends on proxy or vpn service that you use.

If you build backlinks on other websites, you shold be worried about those websites seeing your IP as proxy and delete your content. Google has nothing to do here.
However, there are not many websites which detect and ban proxies. So I would say that you're good to go.

Using proxy will help you to make backlinks but it will be effective only when you are targeting foreign sites. If you are working for foreign sites then it is compulsory to use proxy to save your IP from getting banned for that particular location. It's helpful to upsurge your rank in Google for foreign location as well.
