Hi there, first post.

I want to start selling a digital product online. I have the product completely ready, along with the website.

Initially I want to be using Yahoo PPC rather than Adwords to minimise quality score headaches. I also want to track individual keyword phrase conversions.

I've looked at two possible solutions, one would be to have sales automater (dot com) to deal with digital distribution, checkouts, mailing list and tracking, but the tracking seems to be too basic for my needs.

The other option would be to put the product onto the Clickbank marketplace and use a third party digital distribution company, a seperate mailing list company, and tracking202/stats202 to track keyword conversion. The downside of this is the need for so many companies and the commisions charged by Clickbank.

Can anyone suggest a better solution?

What I need is:

1) Mailing list management
2) Digital product download management and hosting
3) Keyword conversion tracking
4) Checkout

I want to spend under $100 a month for these services. Are there any turnkey packages available? What would be your best advice for me to do?

    1. aWeber - for email list management
    2. ** I would need to know how your site is setup** Simple, few page site, membership site, etc?
    3. Tracking202 products.
    4. Clickbank

It may seem like alot to deal with, with many different companies for your solution, but at the stage you are at, you can't afford to make mistakes, its best to set things up the right, so that you can make more money with less headaches and hassles. Believe me, its worth paying the clickbank fees. Thats what I would recommend atleast until you have built up your funds more and can go direct with your own merchant account or something.

Thanks very much for your swift reply. The website is a simple sales page. I will put in an opt in as well, so that the prospective customer must give his email before going to the order page.

The product is an eductational package consisting of 5 pdfs and about 4gigs of video. We will need a system to provide secure download links for the package and to host it as our website is on a budget bandwidth package.

I think I will take your advice about going this route at the moment, the only things I am concerned about are:

Clickbank has a price limit of $99, are there solutions that allow us to price up our package more than this?

You are able to request a higher price with clickbank, depending on how you approach them and the niche you are in, they will review and consider higher priced items. They do allow higher priced items, they just tend to limit new merchants for security and fraud protection. Submit your product to them and your requested price. Be sure to explain in clear detail the purpose of your pricing and support the value you are providing.

    Best of Luck.
