    You can post them in all sorts of places that will do you little to no good - social bookmarking sites, blog comments, web directories, forum threads and signatures, web 2.0 properties.

    Or, you could do some outreach and get other websites to link to you because you actually have something worth linking to. You could also guest post an article on another site that links back to yours. A true PBN may also be an option if it is your PBN and not available to anyone else to use.

    Bottom Line: If you can simply "post" a backlink anywhere, yourself, it's probably a worthless link.

      Agreed. However, if you are a local business or service wanting to rank locally in your area or in the "Maps section" of Google SERPS, web directories, social media profiles, and any local directory website with high moderate to high domain authority that you can put your NAP info on is still beneficial and 99.9% will not get you banned or hurt your rankings in my experience.

    you can post and comment a lot of forum but make sure only 10-20 comments/forum. otherwise, you will be banned
