Site: VS Site:http:// ?

Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask a question about Site: VS Site:http:// about when I'm checking indexed pages or post with google..so if I do a search like site:mydomain.com I get different results than if I do site:http://mydomain.com why is this ?

    For my site Site:http://my_site.com returns the link to the main page only. Site:my_site.com does real search on site.
    I guess Site:http://my_site.com does search for url only.

    I have checked my website on both http and without http and i am getting same result on Google. So, it may be some issues on your websites. Check it.

    I thinks that you should apply Canonical tags in each and every web page of your website just before head section on the web page. Also apply 301 redirection on your website too.

    You are using both are version of your website. You can use Canonical url for your pages and posts.
