How Does Google View Stop Words?

For example say you want to target the keyword "how to look after dog" but you can't put that in your title tag because it looks stupid, so you put in "how to look after YOUR dog". Does google see those as the same? If not, how do you get around this problem when trying to optimize your page for such keywords that don't have the stop words in them?

I consider stop words when looking at keyword densities, not sure if it helps yet still testing

but I've read that when Google is crawling they remove the stop words to help them gather data faster and more of it

for myself the bottom line write for the visitor not Google otherwise you will lose interaction time if the content is not written for the visitor

these days the longer someone is on your site the better it is, without stop words will make no sense to who will be reading it

Rule of thumb is to do your best to disseminate to your visitors/clients the message
but the problem of vast majority of people they are rather worship G. and loose sell,
than God forbid G. places them on page #2

If Google ignores stop words, why is it that in the google keywords tool how to look after dog and how to look after your dog are two completely different phrases with different search volume, different competition etc... I don't understand it.

Yes of course always write for the person not the search engine, I was just wondering how google views it as far as ranking these kwd phrases that we "input stop words' into which completely changes them.

your guest is as good as mind

I'm still testing on how Google works with the stop words

what I do know when you remove enough stop words in content it starts looking like gibberish
and I can't see how it would not hurt you with user interaction and bounce rates

the example is too small, in a title you might be able to get away with it, but in your content depending on how it is written will look not normal

Google does not ignore anything. You people need to keep up on things.

Each page and search stands alone.

Key phrases, search phrases, keywords, etc. are all different animals.

Your title and url should make sense to a human.

Overthinking will lead you to ruin.
