Do you Use Categories as Meta Tags on WordPress Blogs or the Content Tags?

I have a bit of dilemma when I was reconfiguring my All in One SEO on my WordPress blog.
Some people said not worry about the meta tags as they are not that useful anyways. But I do wanted to use anyways.
My problem is which do you use as meta tags? Do you use the Categories as your meta tags or the article/content tags?
I just need to know if someone use wordpress and are familiar with what I am saying.
It is on the All-In-One-SEO when you configure it.
Any comments or suggestions is highly appreciated...
