How to report someone for copying my content?

Hi All,

Just a quick question, some of you may see this all the time but I noticed an article that I had published on EZA was modified slightly and put up on another site.

At first I thought that someone had published it directly from EZA as it looked pretty much the same but when I saw that there was no link back to either EZA or to my profile, naturally I was quite frustrated.

Its quite obvious that the article was spun but done very very badly, I'm talking like 1 or 2 words spun per sentence. So? My question is that is there any way I can report this to Google or someone. I've never ever copied anyone else's articles so I dont see why lazy asses should go and copy mine. I dont know how it managed to rank so high.

Anyway, would appreciate some help on this.

    I understand how frustrated you are, but i would like to know how the SE see this, i tried to report duplicate or "badly spun content" to google before, but i receive nothing from them...

    It would be best if someone can share about this.

    Hi mate, what you need to do is send them a cease and desist order, then send a dmca letter to both the site owner and google. Here's a template for both these letters:
    Stock Letters | PlagiarismToday

    If the site owner does not take the article down, do a whois search on their domain to find out who their site is hosted with. Once you have that info, send the dmca letter to their hosting company. Google will more than likely remove the article from their search listings. The article site will more than likely have the article removed for fear of having their site taken down by their host as a result of distributing illegal copies of your work.

    I'd also recommend the use of www.copyscape.com to detect wether there are any other copyright infringements of your work.

    Nothing much you can do being honest in ensuring the person will definately stop using your content, unless you want to go down a long road legal of stress and hassle

      Get a hold of the person who copied it. That's the bottom line. I would also suggest copy writing your articles and content so you have a leg to stand on

    If you think that it is costing you a ton of money, then sure go ahead and pursue it.

    However, you should understand that this is the internet and this is going to happen. It has and still does happen all the time. It's part of the game. There are probably others who have copied and slightly modified your content as well that you don't know about. Do you think it's worth the effort to hunt all of them down?

    Even if you publish an article in a physical magazine, people are going to copy it, reword it etc...

    If you don't want your article to be copied, syndicated, spread around, stolen, etc..., then keep your article in your personal diary in your bedroom and spend your time focusing on something more productive

      This is just an unfortunate part of this business. People are going to steal content, ideas, templates, designs, photos, etc. And the internet is simply too big for anybody to be able to control this type of theft.

      Additionally (and I'm not saying you copied them), how would you even prove that you did not simply re-word their article and submit it to ezinearticles? It's not what you know, it's what you can prove.

      It's not worth pursuing, honestly. We all have to live with this kind of stuff.
