SEO expert help with ranking question please

Hi,
Can someone give me an answer to the following question please.

I have a 3 word key phrase lets say "clear my acne" in a fairly competetive niche.

I am ranking on page 1 google for clearmyacne and clear myacne.

However for the phrase I want to rank for "clear my acne" I am struggling and not even in top 5 pages.

Any ideas on what I should do to rank better for my desired phrase ie with spaces between words?

    When you are doing your backlinks, use the exact keyword you want to rank for as an achored text.

    Also, check to make sure your tags, discription that contains the keyword you want to rank for has spaces between them. If you send me the url, I could have a look for you and see what is wrong.

    Anyway, hope you figure it out.

    Thanks for the reply. Yes my backlinks are anchored with the exact phrase.The description tags also contain the spaces.

    Is it that I just need more content and back links to rank better for the more competitive phrase?
