Google Adsense Change their Presentation

I think it's about time Google changed the presentation of their ads, kind of like what I posted down below. I guess the ads are made by ARAlifestyle. I think these ads are more appealing and will get a lot more clicks. I think this will be better for Adsense. Problem with just text is it's too boring and most people ignore it, especially when they know they are ads. And just a big block of an ad image is spamy. But text and ads mixed, a lot more different. Would like to hear what you think.

When you do your ad unit setup just choose "Image ads only" in the selection. Then put the code up to your site.

On the contrary, I think they're against this. (images right next to ads)

They used to allow it (remember therichjerk.com?) but after doing extensive researches (they have PHDs there) they've decided that this is bad for the advertisers. People click because the image looks appealing, not because they want the service.

I'm pretty sure they've thought of it, though.

I do believe they have the best people working for them right now. I mean it's Google, one of the biggest companies in the world right now.

I definitely see where you are coming from about the image. A person that clicks on the add might be more appealed to the picture then the ad itself. But if the image is the exactly matches what the ad is about. And google already has an image ad option, but it's just all image, not text. I really think if they combine the two it well help.

But like you say, they have the best people working right now for them and they probably know whats best.

This is actually an image ad.

You can advertise on the content network with images.

The image just appears to look like text ads with pictures next to them.

        Ok, maybe it is.

I just think that enabling the two together will help. Google should have three options. Text or Text/Image or Image.

I am sure google has tried and tested 10000's of different styles of ads and they have narrowed it down to what converts best, thats just my opinion of course. Personally pictures next to ads look bad, the images are so small and so hard to see what the picture is about, it just seems like a waste of space, thats just my feelings.

Most image ads already have some kind of text on them, so it's sort of like a mix as it is. Adding more text next to an image would look clunky to me too.

If you would like ads that have images displayed next to them then you should use Chitika, Inc. - Search Targeted Advertising

They probably would make more initially with more pictures, but I think advertisers would cut their spending if the pictures cut down their conversions, which is what would probably happen.
