hi guys
I HAD to change my domain name.
I've done all the basics - 301 redirect to same folder and file structure.
Domain change request in google webmasters
Modified all internal references in site.
Gone through my big articles in ezine and isnare manually changing urls and started contacting affiliates about new hoplink.
Is there anything i can do about the 100000 links i've built up over 2 years that have given me a pagerank 3 and 400+ visitors per day - or do i go back to square one and start again?
I'm talking about social bookmarking - i dont seem to be able to modify urls? smaller directory listings, press releases, articles in smaller directories from distribution and rss feeds? work done by outsourced seo companies etc etc.
I've also changed my blogspot name and left a placeholder on the old blogspot name - blogger doesnt seem to do redirects so thats a bit knackered now as well.
What a job!!!!:-(
thanks for any advice from any of you who've been through this!!
Rob

You basically would have to go and change all those links again. There isn't much you can do about it after you changed your domain name other than forwarding the old url to the new url to try and harness some of the traffic still being forwarded to the old url. The backlinks would have to be changed individually unfortunately. Theres no way around it. You will probably have to start your SEO back where you started initially.
