Adding Content For Nieche And Micro-Nieche Sites

Hi.

People always seem to say continue to add content but what happens if all the possible content for a micro-nieche has been added. For e.g. for 'leather sofa' there is only so much its possible to write.

Does adding content for the nieche 'sofa' help in any way to preserve the ranking for 'leather sofa'?

I am figuring no, when new material or sites with greater authority come along it will slip down the ranking. The only solution is to keep adding backlinks to maintain position. Is this right?

    Just to let you know, the term is "niche" not "nieche", well thats were it may become a problem, I've never run into problems with writing content for websites, but if you do, just outsouce the workload, let somebody else do the hard work for you.

    Having updated content does help your ranking, but you don't have to update it often, just show some sort of activey within your website and you should be fine. You don't need to add super-detailed content.

    You mentioned in your example, a niche website on leather sofas, well you could easily write a seris on why leather sofas are better then other sofas, I don't know anything about the types of sofa, but you could write 10 posts, on 10 types of sofa and why leather sofas are better.

      You don't have to continue to add new content to your sites. Static sites work fine.
