Blog Comment Over-Backlinking??

I commented on a single blog post, and now I have over 50+ backlinks from the same blog. I don't know what's going on or if there's any way to stop it. My site doesn't have that many backlinks yet, so I'm worried this looks spammy to Google.

My serps have been jumping all over the place in the past few days, not sure if it's related.

I'm using SEOLV for article backlinks, I'm working on some link wheels, and I'd like to not do any more blog comments. Will the two methods be enough to make my backlinking look natural or should I be doing something else as well??

Sounds like the site you commented on has a certain language conversion plugin installed.....

I've had that happen a half-dozen times or so. It shouldn't have much affect on SERPs and I can't say that Google has ever penalized me for it. My understanding of what is happening, is that the blog you commented on has a plug-in running that lists the last 5 or so comments on every new post so that the freshest comments will always appear on the front page.

That results in a lot of comment links showing up from the same site. It should have no more effect than placing your link in your signature on a forum and posting 50 different comments.

50 links aren't a problem at all. You're worrying about nothing.

No maybe the site you commented had the Recent Comment widget in its sidebar and now there is a link there in all of the pages of the blog because of the Recent Comments Widget.. You need not worry it does not affect the SERPS.
