Go straight to the source.
Add your URL to Google
and if you want to add yahoo.
https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit

Submit an article to the directories and post
it on your site. Make it a wordpress blog, ping it
and social bookmark it. You'll get indexed in hours, sometimes-minutes

Use the "more feeds" plugin. Submit all your feeds to aggregators. Ping them.

The quickest way I've found is to want Google to NOT index it just yet. Install a blog on it with no content because you haven't gotten around to the first post yet and Google will index it ... lol.

The best Method ever - without pinging - without writing one article - without writing any press releases:

TWITTER - I usually make it my last tweet for the night (about 10.00) - shorten the url with bit.ly and tweet - within 1 - 2 days page is indexed. DO NOT TWEET ANYTHING AFTER THAT!

The best way to get your site indexed in quick time is to build bakc links for yoru site. The more back links you will build of related and high pr sites the faster your site will get indexed in the serach engines.
