If you REALLY do what you currently KNOW,
such as you have mentioned, you truly won't
    need any other methods/techniques because
you will be so busy implementing all that
is needed to be implemented on a daily
    basis,

Cbpayne is right, it's not SEO, it's backlinking, which is a part of off page SEO.

    That's link building.
SEO has much more areas to be covered, only with backlinks you'll get nowhere.

How do we know his onpage SEO isn't good to go and that now he 'does' need to focus on the link building part of SEO since link building IS part of SEO?

Add in some videos (if you can) & RSS submissions along with what you're doing.

Oh come on guys sblbpo was asking about new SEO techniques. And You started to point out each other what is seo and what is not. I don't get it.

Definitely :directory submission, blog commenting, article submission, slide submission, book marking is SEO. No doubt about that.

You can on Your own invent new SEO technique, just bare in mind whatever gives You link may be a new SEO technique. Besides each technique needs to be checked on many pages before we call it usefull.

Press release submission perhaps? It's one of the most popular SEO techniques. And I don't see it listed there

That is absolutely SEO. Off site SEO carries a TON of weight when it comes to rankings. How else can you explain websites that rank well for keywords that are barely even on their pages?

If you are looking for some cutting edge stuff, you can test which HTML tags that are changing with each google update. If you can be ahead of the curve with each update that they roll out, you will definitely see some great changes.

If you have a test website, you can try and and rotate your emphasis on certain HTML tags and monitor the success for your keyword. For example, you can test 1 month with <i>keywordhere</i>. Then the following month you can replace italics code with something else like <b>keywordhere</b>.

There are some obscure HTML tags that I have been using that have definitely been given more weight by google lately. Test it out and you will see some great stuff!

I recommend link baiting if possible, along with interaction with bloggers and buying links. Check for any authorative hubs in your niche if there are any, and also harvest your competitors backlinks.
