Hi all,

Is there a way to find out if your competitor has done PPC? And what the details are, like how much they paid per keyword, which kw's they used, etc.

thanks,

Only the search engines have that information in full. They keep that information close to their heart. Not that it would help you much if you had it.

I thought there was some product that could help you with this, like Keyword Spy, or something like that.

I don't even want to know what my competitors paid, just if they created a campaign.

I just remembered....it's spyfu.com. Thanks for helping me shake the cobwebs! :-)

if you are into PPc as well then you can very easily get a fair idea of what your competitor might be bidding for a particular keyword. To check his bid price you can increase your bid till the time you don't overtake his position and then keep bringing your bid slowly. This will give a very fair idea about the bid price which your competitor might be paying.

I'm not that worried about bid price. I just wanted to know, in this particular case, if a competitor has advertised on Adwords. Spyfu gives me that information, and then some.
    Many thanks for the tips.

You can't figure out that much but you can look up keyword values, and frequencies and also what ads are running on them

Raja, this is BS (bull****), please keep it to yourself. First of all it's not relevant to the thread, and second, keyword density is a myth and has no relevance to SEO. You should not be offering SEO advice. Shame.

@mdraja Keyword Density is not related to PPC in any way in my opinion.

Google is like a triangle. The three sites are SEO, Adwords and Adsense. Landing pages must be relevant to the chosen keyword(s). The only way Google has to judge relevancy is by looking after keywords. Without keywords the page will not be relevant. Google treats all his three sites with the same logic and the same system. What´s necessary for SEO is also necessary for ADwords or Adsense.

About keyword density: Mentioning a keyword more frequently may not improve quality score, if half of the density is already enough to know what the site is about. But your keyword should appear at least a few times.

Try PPC Bully, saw it a few days ago and promises to spy on competitors for keywords and price for bids.
