Does Google Analytics Effect Rank?

Hello Warriror's,

Today I have removed all my sites from Google Analytics as it only supported so many, I have setup a brand new server and install Piwik - Will it effect my rank as I no longer use Google for my stats?

    A little bit off topic but how do you find Piwik so far compared to GA?

    I have thought of the same switch a number of times (not because of anything particular that I don't like about GA but mainly because I'm not comfortable with the fact that one company has access to ALL information about my sites) but so far haven't had the courage to actually do the switch.

      I found the move easy, the interface is quite nice I mean its missing some things but 95% is there. I did feel the same as you that was another reason why I wanted to switch.

    I think non, it's only a stat counter of your daily Traffic.

    Depends on what you're using. If you're using article marketing, then I believe no. However, if you're using PPC, then it definitely will. Google bases everything off of Quality Score.

    One of the many things you can do to improve your QS on AdWords (again this is if you're using PPC) is adding Google Analytics to your site, and a host of other conversion tracking tools.

    This shows Google that you are serious about improving your site and making it more relevant which, in turn, makes Google look good. Doing this will increase your Quality Score; the higher your QS the lower your Cost Per Click and the higher your add position (rank) will be.

    I am sure that Google does use Analytics data, but I believe they use the data at a more generalized level, not looking at individual sites.
