Sometimes I have just a small tip or some definition/description to post in my blog or site. It is like 100-150 words types. I wonder if it is worth writing or posting it on my own site/blog or shall i just add some related crap to it or forcefully make it more wordy and use for article submission for backlinks.

I have 100-200 word pages that make $5-10 a month on AdSense. Calculate the ROI on writing those!

I am starting to realise that Google is very clever at finding pages that consisely answer a person's question.

Don't add words just for the sake of adding words... Readers will see right through it! It's fine to have short tidbits of information on your blog. In fact, your readers expect it!

However, there is a difference between little bits on your blog and an actual article. For article marketing purposes, your content has to be longer for two reasons - 1. Most article directories have a minimum word count. 2. Articles are meant to be informative, not just act as tidbits.

If you've got some tidbits on your blog that can be dug into, do a little more research and write an article about it. You can even put a link to your article in your blog, saying something like, "Want more information on XYZ? Check out my article on ___." Your readers may really appreciate the extra info!
