i really dont understand how to tweak, had it been an article site, or a niche site, i could have included high paying keywords, but here its about job openings, there are government job openings being posted on the website. The traffic is increasing like anything everyday and so are the ad clicks but the earning is crawling up

Your niche is paying zero to nothing per click. Advertisers could be paying $0.05 per click

CPC is completely dependent on your niche and the competitors for the niche. If the competition for the Adspace is low then of course your CPC will be too.

Look for alternatives such as CPA and other affiliate programs. If you're leaning more towards advertisements, you could target offline clients (in your niche) for the Adspace, this will give you a recurring fixed income.

Just for the record, Adsense in India is completely under utilized and most clicks won't fetch you much unless your blog is in the finance niche.

    -Hope it helps.

yaa its really pathetic, indian clicks dont pay much and moreover the advertisers also get the adspace by bidding hardly anything. I have also started to write on hubpages and i promote my hubs using SENUKE. Hope something good happens within next few days/weeks.

I would really recommend that you target potential offline advertisers. Looking at the volume of your traffic and the nature of your niche, offline advertisers would pay substantially more for the exposure.

Another thing is, concentrate on building the mailing list since you have such heavy volumes of traffic in this particular niche it would be a great asset.

Ya i guess i'll have to do that. The scope is very less being in india, that's why i didn't come up with any other site targeting indian audience. Google hardly pays for it

At least get a list from the site.

Then sell something to your list, how to ace a job interview ebook or something like that. Maybe something from ClickBank?
Nothing can be sold to the type of visitors i get, the only thing that can be done is i sell their contact info or phone numbers to a contact database company, but i dont think that would be a good idea. I basically am aiming to increase my adsense earning, by god's grace ive moved from a few cents a day to $10-11 a day.

Instead of using straight up AdSense see if you can sell direct placement ads. With the sort of traffic you've got there should be somebody out there interested.

and by the way, is writing on hubpages a good idea?

I feel that it's already an established website, so if i write on it and then promote the articles using SENUKE, it could be very useful. Any opinions?

You could try blocking low paying ads via the 'competitive ad filter' in your AdSense control panel, plus blocking categories of ads that you think are underperforming. Other than that you're best trying to improve your CTR. Google Website Optimizer or YieldBuild can help you there.

Maybe the reason why you have low CPC is because you selected low paying keywords. I
suggest that you should do a research on high paying keywords so as to increase your CPC.

      Low paying keywords, perhaps.
Not enough targeted traffic as it's all over the map.
Your low ctr breeds lower ads.

You can tweak your site by making it a general job
search site with tips on finding or getting a job.

That's where the money in adsense is from, content,
not a database. Job listings are just database info.

Make the database of jobs and individual job searches
the 2nd tier of your site, not the first.

I would not make them sign up as that's asking for more
than a click. There's way too many free job sites out there
      already.

Make your main index page be a decent article on job searching
      and finding, with adsense in-your-face.
