See title.

I used to advertise on search..but i came along some niche products where the vendors recommended content network due to low bids.

Any tips?

There is no reason you can't use both. You just approach them differently, use different ads and bid seperately. Better yet, create seperate campaigns for content and search.

Traffic from the search network typically cost more but it also can convert at a higher rate. Just adjust your bids so that you are in the same range of profitable ROI.

from what i've been seeing it's cheaper on the content network. the only issue is depending on your niche it doesn't convert as well - my motto : So what, as long as it converts and i'm making a profit i really don't care about ctr on content. when i see something converting well, i tweak that campaign and scale it, but for the most part, i've been staying on the content network and making a few bucks.

content has an insane number of impressions, and VERY low bids...i am on 3,4,5 on avg with only a fraction of what i bid on search.
Now..i focus on wording to make people click more

I also tested with placement targeting, here especially with images/banners....but for some reason i have a VERY low impression rate...so i assume that for banners/images bids are very high so its hard to get many impressions.
