Duplicate forum content

It gives me great pleasure to say that I have created a forum. My content is clean. I saw that there are people who publish content copied from article directories and news sources. There is widespread, even in the debates. It is not uncommon to see people using extracts of duplicate content. I'm sure it would be a problem with Google. Would affect the classification and result in sanctions. How to deal with it in the forum guys? How does Google deal with duplicate content? I have curious. Let me know.

It isn't a problem at all in most cases. You could perhaps cause problems if you auto-filled a forum with a lot of duplicate threads targeting different long tail keywords but the course of normal user interaction where there might be a stray duplicate quote or two won't cause you any problems at all.

    Edit...

Just to make it clear, having quoted articles from other sites on your forum isn't a problem aside from potential copyright violations. Even having the same article presented a few different times on your site isn't a problem. The only way you would have a problem would be using the same content over and over again where the obvious intent was to manipulate search results.

What you're talking about is syndication, not duplicate content. You won't have any issues with that at all.

Even though google hates duplicate content, I don't think forums that contain copied content can be a problem.
