Pinging my profile links

I just bought an Xrumer profile blast to one of my linkwheel properties and the guy gave me the list of around 4000 profile links that were created. What I'm wondering is if it would be a good idea to mass ping all of them at once on PingDevice or should I limit the number of pings I do per day from my IP address? I don't use a proxy.

Thanks!

    Hey there,

I'm personally a strong believer of organic backlinking strategies, so I would advice against pinging and such, let the big G discover the links all by themselves...

However, if you'd like to do so anyhow, it would be good to diversify your footprint. Which means, pining from different IPs, using different ping providers, pinging in random intervals, submitting some of the links to RSS aggregators instead of pinging them (which does the job of notifying Google rather well), mixing in some backlinks which are not related to yours, etc. Basically, do everything to mask your footprint a little.

    Hope this helps,

    Cheers,

    Chris

I can never understand why anyone would want to waste time to ping profile backlinks. Yes, pinging might get them indexed, BUT it will never keep them indexed.

Right. A better solution would be to create pages with links to those profiles on it, then ping and update the page; point a few links at it and see what happens.
