Questions about site design . . .

I have about 30 Wordpress based sites that I monetize with mostly Adsense with some income coming in from Amazon as well. I try to mix up my theme a bit, but 3 of them still have the basic green/black Xfactor design. I try to make my sites more appealing now, but I have to admit those green/black sites are getting my highest CTR 14 - 18% on average.

So my question is this, if I came under a manual review from Google do you think I would be banned because of the Xfactor look? I know a lot of people copied the style but put up crappy content, my content is solid and I have built them out to more than 5 pages of content - one is closer to 20 pages.

I personally am a fan of the whole Xfactor system - it has worked for me. But I don't want the well known green/black design to be my downfall.

Am I being paranoid?

If it got a manual review it would be very likely to be deindexed. Will you get such a review? Maybe, maybe not.

The thing to understand is that a manual review is generally 30 seconds or less and only involves the index page of your site. Content isn't considered at all. What matters is does your site look like something the reviewer has been trained to flag as a Made For Adsense/Affiliate site? I think it's very likely that standard Adsense templates taught by popular Adsense courses on IM forums and blogs are what reviewers are trained to look for in such a site. If you fit the profile, you get deindexed.

Is the Xfactor look part of this? I don't know but I suspect that it is. Also, if a reviewer has seen the template before on other MFA sites they've flagged then it is likely they'll flag the site for deindexing.

Overall, I think it reduces your risk if you use a variety of themes/templates that convert well but that aren't exact visual duplicates of what everyone who took a particular course are using.

Maybe I will change the design on the one that is making the most. I will see if it affects the earnings in anyway
