Why No Yahoo Page Rank?

Does anyone else really wonder why there is no Yahoo Page Rank?

    It's because google invented page rank. Yahoo was tehre before and they never felt like copying google I suppose...

      Not just "worked"...Larry Page is one of the Google founders and probably the major share holder.

    The reason is that the process behind PageRank is patented...also the patent is actually held by Standford and only Google is allowed to use it.

      I suppose that will be Google Page Rank and not any other Page Rank. I think any other company can have their own Page Rank patented too but certainly with no mention of Google or in fact name it something else other than Page Rank but fulfilling the same purpose.

      Has the concept of Page Rank achieved its objective? Is the internet better off with it or not?

    I think yahoo knows that they dont have the ability to compete with google.Thats why they dont offer those service where google is unique.
