Hi,
i have been using google adwords for a long time. but the cost is almost equal to revenues from it. So is it worth continuing the adwords or should I stop it as it is not giving me much profits. I mean does adwords have any SEO value so that I do not stop it if it has.

Adwords is a bit expensive and a tricky method since it's a paid advertisement program. You're risking a budget for a particular keyword. SEO is all about organic promotion. In my opinion, if the cost of your campaign is almost equal to revenues from it then I'd rather stop or pause the campaign.

Traffic can start flowing in a matter of minutes once a campaign has been launched in PPC. With SEO, traffic can take some time to build and there is no guarantee it will arrive at all. In PPC, you can specify how much you want to pay for any given period, and the campaign can't easily be switched off. In terms of SERP, you can pretty much buy it with PPC while on SEO, get rank for highly competitive keywords can be virtually impossible for new sites.

You should stick with adwords. If you're making money then you just need to keep refining your campaigns so that you can turn a healthy profit. An easy way to get more for each click is to capture leads with an opt-in form. You can really turn up your ROI if you haven't been doing this.

Of course, there is no reason you can not do SEO while you have your campaigns running.

If you're at breakeven with AdWords, by all means don't give up. With a bit of optimization, you should be able to get your profit margins up.

      • Keep split-testing your ad copy
      • Delete your unprofitable keywords
      • Delete keywords with low QS
      • Keep split-testing your landing page
      • Lower your bids by 10 - 15%

Focus on these fundamentals and you should be able to get a better return on ad spend in time.
