Sitemap red X?

Good Morning/Afternoon Warriors,

This morning I was going through my daily routine of checking Webmaster Tools & Analytics. I quickly realized that my Sitemap in Webmaster Tools had a red X beside of it. Usually it has a green check mark, so this was rather surprising. I re-submitted the sitemap, has anybody else had this issue before? If so what did you do to get the sitemap functioning correctly in Webmaster Tools?

  For some reason Google failed to spider the map - it may be malformed or not found, or even responding too slowly (sometimes a problem with really big site maps).

I'm hoping that simply clicking "Re-Submit" will fix the issue.
