More Evidence That Profile Links Work

I recently posted an article on a site I have about changing careers. The KW I was targeting gets about 15K global monthly searches.

A week ago, the post was no where to be found, not in the top 1000 results. I had previously, maybe 3 weeks ago, blasted the post with 3000 profile links from my own private service.

Today its at #92............still crappy.

But now its time for the secret sauce, which if it works I will divulge later on.

Will report back in a week to see how it went.

BTW, the site is only 4 months old and sits at #4 for its main keyword.

With a little luck I can get in the top 20 and then blast some more links to it.

Of course profile backlinks work. They have always worked.

This stuff some of you are buying - drip fed profile backlinks and all - there's people who've been using/doing that stuff for years now. You're at least a few years behind in this game (didn't mean the OP specifically).

I've been using profile links since the end of 2008. I just wrote the post to prove to all these politically correct SEOers that profile links still work very very well.....

Yeah profile links it is also beneficial for your website backlinks.

Just make sure you have a post and not empty.

I saw someone posting a profile w/ no picture on it but he got views. Even if a no brainer guy.

Better not to waste time and start act right now. But that would be better if he has a pic on the profile.

Just quit of being perfect just do it!

Do you set up profile pages and forget about them, or do you stay active on the sites? I know it would be impossible to stay active on hundreds of sites.

Yep, Set n Forget..............but this is not my only method of link building, you need variety in your link building. Although for local search, say "San Diego Plumber".........a few blog comments and a few article backlinks PLUS 10 or 20K profile links is all you really need.

I use a number of other methods. I just find that when I'm stuck on low Page 1 or high page 2, 30-50 thousand links usually gets the job done, to bring me to the top 2 spots, and thats where the money is. Everybody talks about page 1. Page one is meaningless unless you're in the top three at least if not the top two. The top spot gets the majority of all the clicks and the top 2 get over 70% so just being on page one is not the point. You need to be #1 (or #2) on Page 1, otherwise you won't get that many clicks............at least from the organic FREE results.

...........at least thats been my experience.

But remember, it also is very dependent on the KW you are targeting and how competitive it is. Also the age of your domain is important as well

It's important to find sites that don't delete your profile. It's not good if later most of your backlinks are deleted. This can be very harmful to your rankings.

            I put here some good sites for profiles: vator.tv, ee.twitchfilm.net, bug.co.uk, bloody-disgusting.com, betternetworker.com, blogtalkradio.com, speakerrate.com

You have to find where to register.

    Is it only in blogs?
no... mainly on forums like: abettley - Viewing Profile

some of them allow to put your "hompage" url: British Council :: Viewing profile

Profile links are a numbers game. You buy 1000, maybe, if you're lucky 50% get indexed and then 50% of those remain.

So you pay for 1000 but only get 250 or maybe 125, but thats not the point. Profile linking is only one part of a sound backlinking strategy. One thing I have noticed is that once you gain a #1 or #2 position in Google, you can almost neglect the site for quite a while, and still retain your ranking. Popularity has to be part of G's algo, so once you're on top and getting clicks, it starts to feed off itself, if you know what I mean. Maybe I'm just not wording it the right way........its tough knocking the guy off the top of the mountain.
