Scrapebox footprints anybody?

scroll down theres a list of footprints for different platforms.

A footprint is a common wording ect on a website that uses a platform

in example "powered by wordpress" .you want to find something that will be on every site that uses a particular platform or a structure that is a footprint.

That's strange - that's the biggest list of interesting footprints listed in one spot that I've ever seen, and you shout "Fail!".

Even more interesting, doing some searches on some of these gave me even larger lists of footprints to work with.

For example, if you want to find wordpress blogs, a particular sentence you'd see on many (if not most of them) would be "Powered by Wordpress" - which gives me about 143 million results.

But I might want to comment, so I might type in "Powered by Wordpress" AND “name” AND “*mail” AND “Leave a *” AND “Comment” AND “* Comment” - this would avoid Wordpress blogs that have comments closed.

But the person who originally answered you might have been advertising his software, but he was also giving you part of the answer - a good list of footprints to try out.

I do not take credit for this list of footprints. I've used many of the footprints on this list, have edited many of them to meet my needs, and have created and used my own footprints for custom searches as well. I'd post a link... But I can't!!!

LOL!

Footprints are pretty simple... They're custom searches... You know when you do a search for, say, "big blue bikes inurl:forum intitle:new -red" well that's a footprint...

Footprints are pretty simple... They're custom searches... You know when you do a search for, say, "big blue bikes inurl:forum intitle:new -red" well that's a footprint...

Funny how I never see any search operators like allinanchor: and related: those are just two that helped me big time when searching for related blogs and urls. But greats lists nonetheless!

If you add a .com to my name you'll end up on my personal website where I've been posting a few footprints every day. Click on the sitemap to find them organized by topic (blog, forum, CMS, wiki, guestbook, etc.) You will likely find footprints you've never seen before as I make them up myself - although some will be familiar as "powered by wordpress" is so obvious.

Just know that a lot of these footprints are probably being used by thousands of other SB users. So it's best if you can discover your own. (Which is pretty tough.)

You can also use: Coyote Cult : Random Word Generator to create a ton of random words and load them into the SB keyword scraper. This will give you a pretty enormous list of random keywords and phrases, so you shouldn't be picking up the same results as everyone else using the footprints.

Scrapebox, in the right hands, is an invaluable tool. In the wrong hands it can be a disaster.

It's got about a million other useful features aside from the posting ability. The search harvester alone is worth the $57.

Hey, the past few days I'm no longer able to scrape/harvest URLs in Google with my footprints.

I'm using private proxies, and I'm able to scrape basic keyword searches, so it can't be a proxy issue.

My inurl: and intext: footprints just don't work though. Scrape box says completed, then shows all my keywords as red and has 0 results.

If I go to google.com and use my footprints, they clearly still work. Just not in Scrapebox. I'm up to date in SB too. I've played around with 1 connection, etc but nothing will work!

Very confused. Anyone have similar issues? Maybe someone can try one? Here's one that used to always work now just doesnt

Are you using private proxies for harvesting URLs? If so, that's most likely the reason you're not getting any results. Google will block your proxies for about 24 hours before allowing you to search with them again.

You'll need to grab a ton of public proxies to use for the harvester.

Hi to all and sorry for my ignorance. Which footprint do I need (scrapebox) to get the 20 first search results (ranking urls) that google offers for a given keyword?
What I'm trying to get is the 20 first url results google offers when you type a keyword in the search engine.
I know I just can go and do it in google search for a single keyword but I need to do it for hundreds...

It's pretty hard to judge what it can do until you start using it. I've had it for nearly 2 years now and still stumble on a new feature every once and awhile.
