So i have been on the forum for a while now and I have sucessfully got 2 of my websites for my niche to #1 and #2 however my competitor was #3 so he decided to get me penalized and now he is #1

I need to figure out a way to get my 2 sites unpenalized. There must be some expert on here that knows what was done to my sites to get them penalized in a few hours.

I know it is him because he also has another niche for wedding dresses and he was #5 and he also penalized everyone in front of him so he can get to position 1.

How is this posible that I have invested so much into my sites for a chinese spammer to come and penalize sites in front of him?

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP! I WILL PAY FOR SOMEONE TO ASSIST ME

THANK YOU

I think you are misinformed. I seriously doubt that is an issue. Where are you ranked now?

Just because a competitor beat you out, doesn't mean that you're penalized, lol.

If they are really located one by one in SERP, than the probability of penalty is high, indeed.

Now, the hypothesis for you. Taking in mind that you have 5 sites on the same niche, I can suspect that for those 5 sites the following may hold true:

      - content is duplicating somewhere
      - located on the same C-class IP
      - getting links from the same set of sites
      - addresses are somewhat similar.

If at least one of this point is true, then you might get a sort of an affiliate penalty (applied to affiliated sites). It can be as simple as that, and no competitor to be blamed.

      Regards
      George

It isn't really a penalty, it is just not as highly rated anymore. I would bet it is duplicate content. I don't think google is slapping him around just because they want to penalize him, I believe they just viewed his sites differently since the algo change.

Do you have 100% original content, or do the sites kind of repeat what the others are saying?

If you're still in the SERPs you aren't penalized. I think what happened is you have duplicate content and your site lost value.

It's very hard to believe that I could get my competitors penalized. I'd love to know how it was done, I'll just start picking off my competitors one by one.

It's hard to believe, but I have seen it happen to 2 people before. The people that targeted them, built link wheels in the hundreds and made them obvious. There were so many, it had to be automated. They were able to come back after plead in a reconsideration request and sending email to have the link wheels taken down.

Outside of hacking your competitor's site. There is nothing you could do to affect on the page SEO.

So it must be off the page... You would have to build a ridiculous set of backlinks in bad neighbors to do something like that.

Take a good long look at your backlink profile. Check out the majestic SEO profile of your site. Look at the backlinks listed in G's WMT. Anything out of whack?

Also set a post up on Google's webmaster forum and explain the situation there are tons of helpful people and even employees of google that would love to hear your case. I find that as the only place to really that can help diagnose a true penalty. I had one in the past and they helped me figure it out and correct it within 2 weeks.

After you figure it out, put in a reconsideration request.

If you do figure it out and it was something else, this person did; I'd love to hear it.

Stop being so naive. I wish I was your competitor. And anyone that wants to put this theory to test, please do it to me. LOL, I would appreciate it!

OMG. You aren't penalized. STOP IT! At first I thought you were just misinformed but not it is just getting stupid. I don't know if you're looking for attention or if you're really that egotistical to believe that someone can't beat you out or that maybe you made a mistake.

If you post those links of your sites, it would be a lot more helpful because we could tell you exactly why you aren't ranking where you were. You can't get someone penalized by blasting links, it is not possible. Want to prove me wrong? Then do it to me, lol.

Seriously, you need to read around a bit. You probably have duplicate content, or maybe your SEO efforts dropped off and you thought it would stay there with no work at all. What happened when you passed your competitor? Did he claim that you penalized him? This is just ridiculous.

forums are crawled by google at a rate close to twitter and facebook and ebay.. if u do a forum post blasts. G sees it as too many indexed links at once.. hence it penalizes

That is so stupid. You can't get penalized for too many links at once, and not every forum gets indexed quickly at all. In fact, moderators of those forums would delete the posts so fast it wouldn't matter.

What about me posting quickly, in the same thread, is that penalizing me? You need to forget everything you learned and who you learned it from and start from scratch!

your not listening. you have 706 posts and still dont realize that black hat works!! this guy ( the competitor) was #5 for a while.. he blastsed the first 4 to penalize them. now were all sitting at #26, #27, #28.#29 .. and how anothe rniche he is in. he was #6.. he blasted the first 5 sites too and they are off also. now dont tell me i dont know what ims aying here. dont tell em this is coincidence.

people often say its impossible.thats because they havnt experienced it. google isnt as smart as you think actually. its faulty and the penalization system is setup to automatically red flag sites. competitors penalizing competitors.. ITS REAL

PROVE IT!!!! Do it to me then...

It is annoying, that you think you have this figured out and its just you being penalized. Black hat works, temporarily I know that, why do you think you have all the answers?

HERE ARE THE FACTS! You can not post mass blog comments or mass forum posts and get penalized by google. THAT IS A FACT. The ONLY thing google would do, is devalue those links.

POST your site up along with the others, if you keep avoiding that then I'm just gunna call BS on all this and render this thread useless since you apparently have all the answers you need.

you have not been penalized if you are still listed with google

google will only penalize you if you are a brand new site and you add thousands of links per day

You can do the reverse SEO for this problem. Check your backlinks and one by one remove bad links. One question through forum posting blast does you site backlinks increase or not?

He's saying someone else is spamming his link therefore penalizing him. Don't feed into it lol. But to answer your question, forum posting does count for back links, they just aren't powerful.

I just want to add in the note that we have no idea how many links he already has.. if he has one or two non valuable links(low PR) then it is very likely that he took a little slap because someone performed some black hat SEO on him.. I mean afterall. If the argument that suddenly popping several thousand new links to a page DOESNT penalize a site.. then how on earth could Google ever sort out the black hatters? Im not arguing that it some cases that it can be beneficial.. but in some situations like going from 0/1 to 1000/2000 backlinks, INSTANTLY, could be a red flag.. especially if you had a list of sites that were known to be viewed as black hat sites.. im sure google has a list of not approved sites, which would mean that certain black hatters probably do as well.... just some thoughts.

        also

I heard of some new search engine the other day..

i want to say it was blekko but not positive, anyway, if the suspected competitor has adsense you can do an advanced search on the search engine, by his adsense code, and check out other sites he has and see what is up with them..

If it was that easy to penalize someone, no one would even build links to their blog - they could just order xrummer blast for every competitor and they would go down. Unless your spamming is REALLY hardcore, something like 50,000 links a day, but I'm not sure about that.

Anyway, the real way to get penalized is on-page optimisation, since only the owner of the site can change that. If you will put your phrase in your blog endless times you should end up penalized indeed.

I wouldn't worry about your competitors, since the worst case they could do is that these links won't be accepted by google (like duplicate content) but on the other hand, if they would seriously think they could outrank you this way, then they would be building you just extra link juice.

In case your site ended up in google sandbox (if you've heard of it) then I might be able to tell you what to do. But if you strongly believe that off page optimization caused this, then I don't know what to say.

Well, basically, if it is a wordpress site, you should change permalink structure completely. Yes, you'll probably lose nearly all backlinks (but you may post posts with same url your backlinks were targeting in future, one by one, so you would still conserve the link juice), apart from domain name ones. Also, you should change content in every page slightly, keywords should target broader search terms (like if kw was grow hair back fast try targeting grow hair, of course, you should change this in future bit by bit so your site would be targeting keyword you want again), and probably use different theme. This is so google would think that this is separate website and reset pagerank. Also, after you do all this try posting frequently, since its a good sign for every website. This is what I know, hope this helps.
