My site was 6 months old. After 3 months seo effort my site sat #2. And getting traffic regularly.

I realized , whenever I have been sold an amazon product from my site as affiliate, my google rank getting dropped #2 to #130. If there is no sales it stays as is nearly 1-2 weeks.

Have you ever encountered this type of seo rank drop before ?

Do you also think that there is a seo manipulation from amazon?

You think your site was dropped because you made a sale?

How would google know if you made a sale or not though?

I'm sorry but this made me chuckle.

Trust me, there is no way that Google can know whether you made a sale at Amazon or not.

The changes in rankings are somewhat normal as Google tries to determine where your site should rank, and they do that all the time with their algo changes.

So, no, your rankings are NOT affected by your Amazon sales

Can google collect information of your exit links ? I think so. Of course they can't know if the visitor bought a product or not.

If you use google analytics, they know everything about your site. Especially, visitors exit link and visit lenght.

I had been read at one wso that recommends to not use analytics on affiliate sites. So, I didn't use google analytics anymore.

I don't have any clue about the cause ! And I didn't mean google does this.

Normally, when you search a keyword there is always amazon at top 10. And maybe amazon would want to be direct seller.

Maybe, It is just irony !

When did the ranking drop happen? Could it have coincided with Google's algorithm change at the end of February?

You said that it has sat without any sales for 1-2 weeks, which would put it right in that time frame.

I follow google updates (Pagerank and algorithm) and collect my sites ranking stats regularly.

That issue has been up last 3 months.

We have now gone from the ridiculous to the insane.

IF google could know if you made a sale, they would love that.
That's the whole point to sending people to your site...

No, we don't partner with google (although a loose relationship with blogspot/amazon)

Google is in the business to send searchers to pages that are as close to what they
want as possible. So, if they think a searcher wants to buy something, would
they not want to send people to sites that have a track record of making sales?

But then, they have no real way of tracking really. But if they did, your rank
would not drop, it would logically rise.

I hope it would be what you sad. My Opinion also google dance but 3 months dance doesn't make me feel good.

My site is a litte community site with visitors like to visit. Apx. 20 pages and totally whitehat seo. So, If my visitors buy from my recommended products, so visitors like...

Than google also should like my site.

      think about it tanero,

if that was true, google woudn't just focus on you, we would all notice these things, true?

how many websites do we have on the net?

      a million?
      a billion?
      a trillion?

of course we have an idea as to the number of sites (just not me obviously!), my point is not to find an exact number, but simply to the point that "anything and everything will seem to happen to someone at some point" it runs the gambit when you have such a tremendous number of sites ..the numbers bear it out, from one side of the scale to the other...and everything in-between

that is reality and not a mere postulate...

what you think is happening to you, someone else in the world thinks the opposite, that everytime someone buys something from them, goog bumps them up" a little bit.... it's the shear numbers and possible aberrations

sometimes behaviors or things simply "seem" to correlate

goog isn't looking at your site the way you think, they see your site as they do others, unless you are selling rockets to Libya you are simply not that important to google

sorry to blow the "they've got a conspiracy on me theory", but they don't and there are people on this forum exponentially smarter about what google does than you or I....if it was true, we would all know about it

Have you ever taken a class in college or university course in "statistics"?
aside from driving you absolutely batty you'd understand

see googles ultimate plan is to drive you into something
      called "goog-o-nutz" or "web-u-nutz" and you're in stage1

Thank you to write a detailed response, thats why I wanted to share my problem to this forum, because there are too many cleaver and experienced internet marketing users here.

Forums are also used for learning new things.

It is not a shame not to know what is bad is not asking !
