Best Places To Submit Content For Backlinks

I was wondering what everyone is doing here for article backlinks. Since EzineArticles took a hit from google along with HubPages, where would you recommend submitting unique content to?

There are number of genuine ways to get backlinks to your website, however its getting harder and harder and Google has perfect reasoning behind it.

    A lot of websites took hits in terms of their own page ranks, but I am not 100% sure those things will affect the fact that your site has a backlink there. I wouldn't stop using the sites.

    There are number of ways you can do directory submissions.

    Do you mean linking to the main site directly or do you mean linking to articles and blogs that link to the main site?

    Article marketing still provides you with the opportunity to get really powerful backlinks.

    Don't write for the directories -> write for webmasters    .

    If a popular, authoritative site publishes your article you are going to get a relevant, "do follow", possibly high PR, traffic getting link. In other words, a really high quality link. The article directories might have taken a hit, but that doesn't mean sites that use content from them did.

    I'll put my money where my mouth is. I'm still doing article marketing in this fashion and still getting results -> SEO News: SEO Course: Backlinking Your Way to the Top - a relevant, "do follow", high PR, traffic getting link.

        Social bookmarks yes, web 2.0 properties not so much -> only for the occasional link wheel. It's always good to diversify the types of links you get as well as the number of sources. A lot of times besides just having high quality links, higher ranking sites have a very diverse set of links. I don't allocate my time evenly between every method out there, but I'm not going to let any backlinking methods slip by me.
