More than one adsense account?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone uses more than one adsense account or if that's possible or advisable.

I hear about people getting banned from adsense, so I am wondering if it would be wise to set up an account for each website showing ads instead of running them from all one account..

I'm sure that google would be able to know exactly what you are doing though, so I don't know if it would be a good idea.

Is anyone out there using more than one adsense account as a safety net incase google bans your adsense account for whatever reason?

    Each AdSense account is tied to a company tax id # or personal social security #, you are not suppose to have more than one AdSense account but if you have a company and individual #'s you could theoretically setup more than one AdSense account.

      I'm pretty sure they don't have my tax ID or social insurance number, I received payment from them once last year. Now I am actually earning about $20 dollars a day-ish from one of my sites. I have decided against adsense on my low traffic sites for now anyway.. So this doesn't really matter anymore.

      Now that I'm earning some decent money in adsense I don't want it to be taken away!!

        Best way to keep your account is to follow the TOS - which includes one adsense account per person. Would be terrible to be banned because you did something trying to be "safe".

        The biggest mistake adsense users make is thinking they can fool google - seldom works.

    Yeah, I think it's against their TOS.

    You probably could create another account, but you'd be gutted if you had bunch of cash in it then got caught and lost the lot.
