I always refer below website for press release submission, however, it loads pretty slowly so you will have show some patience.

Prlog.org will allow url links within the body to be clickable which is very good (not with anchor text). They also have very nice stats available when you log in to your account to see the views. The site also seems to have been hit a bit due to Panda but with backlinks the press release can be moved up.

Any advice on submitting one press release to all or some of these assets? Is it best to spin or to post duplicates?

My feelings are that, press releases are more of a company statement, that gets distributed through lots of channels so it would be natural for them to have the same text?

Great list! I submit a PR twice a month to free PR sites and I'm getting good quality backlinks. I usually just submit to about 10 sites though but I'm still getting excellent results.
