Can somebody tell me the difference between profile links created by xrummer/scrapebox and the angela style profile links in the link packages. I read in another forum that scrapebox profile links can get really spammy, but aren't they the same thing?

    SB doesn't create profile links. It is the most unreliable tool for creating profiles on ExpressionEngine forums. It is a blog commenting tool.

    Xrumer is an automated forum profile spammer.

    In Angela's packs, you "spam" manually.

      Xrumer is more than a forum profile creator. It can also create a post on forum sites and it can break any captcha and recaptcha. Now they are on beta 6 Xrumer 7 and it becomes more lethal because they added more features into it.

      Scrapebox is not just your ordinary blog commenting tool. It can Index, check if the site you scraped are alive, it can check the backlinks you made, it analyzes all websites you scraped and it can tell you if they are blog sites or not, Check if websites are dofollow, finds competition, extracts links from a certain domain or url, checks a site if its been tampered with malware, it can scrape sitemaps and so on.

    well scrape does have a inbuilt spinner. Don't trust the programs trust your instincts

      Thanks for replies everyone, I had just brought scrapebox, never heard of scrapeboard. I think I understand the difference between angela style links and those created in a xrummer blast is the quality of the domaines they come from. I am new to IM so I guess the best way to find out is to try the different methods. I have created my money site and a link wheel and I am now at the stage of building backlinks. I think I just got my site sandboxed after creating 40 profile links to it in one day. Oh well live and learn, I will just continue to build the backlinks. I will try a xrummer blast to my web 2.0 sites and use scrapebox to find high PR sites to comment on when I learn how to use it. I will also get some blog post links back to my money site.

      So plan is

      Xrummer blast (profile links)
      Blog comment (quality not spam)

      to web 2.0 sites that link to my money page

      Blog post links
      May try edu + gov package
      will try press releases when get time too (magic submitter)

      the IM tools I have currently are

      Market samurai
      Scrapebox
      Magic Submitter
      Magic Article rewriter
      Magic article submiter

      I would be interested in any suggestions anyone has had success with that I could do, I can't afford xrummer yet, everyone says how good it is so maybe once my site starts to make $$ I will invest in it but for now this is about it. I have considered sick submitter as it is really cheap but I think magic submitter can complete all the same tasks. I intend to use scrapebox with magic submitter.

    Scrapebox is a blog commenting software and Xrumer is a powerful Profile Link Software.

    Both are very powerful softwares in themselves.

    I own Scrapebox, the reason why links get spammy is that other than you thousands of others Scrapebox users use the same blogs to comment and put it kind of the same spammy comments over there at the blog, so overall there are 100's of comments of a blog so the quality of your backlink drops down significantly because of other backlinks. Some other backlinks may link to XXX sites and all these little points make the link to your website spammy.

    People dislike Xrumer even when its so powerful because point 1) It makes 1000's of links in a shot which may very well get you sandboxed which you really don't want!
    2) Its very expensive and hard to learn! You have to pay for servers.
    3) As Rumours go, Search engines have become smart enough to identify Xrumer Spam!
    But still I would say its a very powerful software and is benefiting many!

    When you create a link manually, you do your best in there to make sure it doesn't look spammy and therefore it increases the chance of the link to stick, another point is you make links at a healthy pace, and you don't look like a spammer a tol!

    Nothing really, Xrumer can create many A&P like backlinks. A&P is usually defined as PR4+ with anchor text.

    whenever you do an xrumer blast please use whatever software available to get them indexed if not it will be a waste of effort.

    There is not much difference between A&P links and normal Xrumer links. The only difference is that A&P links index at a lightly better rate and have a little more SEO value, but at 10x the price of normal Xrumer Links. It is a much better investment to just go with 10k normal Xrumer Profiles, than the 150 A&P links you get at that price.

    Also, Scrapebox is for Blog Comment Links.
