When posting new content does it have to be on the front page for that front page to get SEO boost.

I'm publishing content at www.keyword.com/blog

but I want keyword.com keywords use your keywords to GO direct to web pages and files. - keyword to rise in the google rankings. Will the content being featured in the sub folder have the same affect as if it was to appear on the front page?

Best Regards,

Tony

No. In fact it is best to do "deep linking" which is building internal pages and linking to them instead of just to the home page. It builds credibility for those individual pages and that therefore builds credibility for your main domain.

You should link to your main page as well as other pages. Not only will it help your main page in this fashion but it will also help your sub pages to rank higher for their keywords. This is something that's often called deep linking and should be a big part of your SEO efforts.

yes but forget the deeplinking, if there is no linking and I'm just looking at content bonus. If new content is added to /blog is that the same as if it was added to the front page for seo bonus for the front page?
