I have been reading about a recent PR Update so I decided to check one of my websites.

It has gone from PR0 to PR4?? Is this likely just a temporary PR until Google finalises it?

Hey one of my site has gone from PR0 to PR2 ! My first website I started a couple months ago. I built some high PR links to this one, that might be the reason. Never thought you could skip PRs... must be a big update.

Hey, nice! Same thing happened here, went to check my 1,5 month old site and it had also jumped from 0 to 2 (atleast I think so, haven't paid any attention really since I was pretty sure it had PR0)

I used Market Samurai, Traffic Travis and SEO Quake for Chrome. They all say the same thing

      • Wow, this seems to good to be true.

I made this website 5 Weeks ago, and I'm ranking #6 in Google for a 14,800 (Exact) Keyword, and now I have a PR of 4.

        Hope this sticks.

          Hi Mate,

How was your back-link strategy? I'm starting a few new sites and i want to find the right balance of back-links over the next month and a half. Any recommendations?

          Cheers

      Crazy huh!
But ultimately is all come down to "how much money is the site making?"
I know people that spend lots of time checking their PR, rankings, # of backlinks, and they haven't made their first dollar online yet.

This site in particular, which has been active for 5 weeks, has so far brought me 170 leads and 2 sales.

100 of those leads have been in the past week since I made the first page of Google.

I cannot wait to grab that number 1 spot

PR5 in a month seems like a huge jump. Wonder what Google is up to.

I had two new sites (made within the last month or so) reach PR3, it was so easy. BUT Some sites that are years old with lots of content and quality backlinks are still PR1. Oh well, all I care about is the money the sites are making and that number keeps going up

For sure! I had a site gain a PR5 on its first update. Granted its in a niche that received all of the links naturally from amazing sources like NYTimes, Wired, etc. but nonetheless you can go from a PR0-PR5-PR6 on a single update.

It's very possible. I've seen it happen on many sites. It depends entirely on backlinks and few other factors.

    But yes, very possible.

Yes its possible as one of my site with zero backlinks moved from PR0 to PR4 in a single PR update.

Latest PR update occurred on 28th or 30th July.

    Thanks

Haha... I have 2 sites that are about 3 months old. No content on either and I think 1 has a whopping 3 backlinks. Both are now PR4.

      Who wants to buy them??
