SEO is the main principle or guiding method that rules the world of online business-search engines apply certain type of algorithm to list the websites on particular keywords. Internet users have certain psychology to click on links that are organic as well as list higher up the search results.

Get a grip. Google don't give a rat's hat how pretty your site is.
Your design has nothing to do about crawling. That's link structure.

Maybe if you change "web design" to "content and link structure"
you would have something.

Some of the ugliest sites, wikipedia eg., rank quite high.

"attractive" has nothing to do with SEO.

Anyone find the warriorforum "attractive"? (no offense) Looks
pretty plain to me, comparatively speaking.

  While designing of a site use stylesheet for different styles, which you use for a site. Use proper size image which helps user to open the site as well as keeping page speed average for search engines. Don't use lot of coding while designing.

Yes I am agree with thread starter.A good web design has very important role in SEO.There are lot of seo factor which depends upon quality web design.So I hope every website owner ll do a great work on website designing before start seo work so that by creating seo friendly website can get higher rank easily.

I agree. Because no matter how good your offsite SEO strategy if you fail to create an effective web design that is visually attractive and easy to use you will not get a high rank easily in search engines.

No bot can "see" your website, thus, Search Engines can't know if your website is attractive or not. But for sure a good webdesign is the key to good SEO: coding and semantics are very important.
