Adding image code in the Title of a WordPress post - is it bad for SEO???

I was looking for ways to put an image ABOVE the title of a post or page in WordPress.

Checked out many ways to do that - all of them were super-duper complicated and requiring tons of PHP code. Not good.

Then I found out the simplest way to do that: it's super easy.
Just add this in the title of your post and that's it!<img src='image.jpg' width=500 height=500 border=0><br>

So if your post's title is: How to grow red tomatoes, your WP title before you post it should look like: <img src='image.jpg' width=500 height=500 border=0><br>How to grow red tomatoes

I did that and it worked out great.
It does not allow you to have an 'Alt' tag for the image, but I guess I can live with that.

Now... SEO-wise, how bad is it to have image code in your Post's titles???

Will it have any effect on your rankings, because we all know how important tiles are for SEO and I was thinking that adding a line of code garbage to the Almighty Title may actually screw you up on Google...

Or am I wrong?
Is it safe to use image code in post/page titles?
