I just started a campaign with the google content network but I am getting basically no impressions. My bid is .20 and it only gets like 2 or 3 impressions a day. Does is just cost a lot more to get impressions or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

    Robert,

Try raising you bids to $0.50 and slowly drop down when you start seeing a sizable number of clicks and impressions.

If this doesn`t do the trick, simply dump in a couple of hundred more keywords into yoru content campaign.

    Cheers!

      Hi robert11,

Gauher gives pretty good advice, I would suggest that you do some keyword research and come up with as many different keywords as you can that are highly relevant to your topic.

The most obvious ones will usually have a lot more competition and therefore higher bidding requirements. By breaking your keywords down into very small ad groups, perhaps one or two nearly identical keywords, you will quickly see which keywords are the money words and focus on those.

Here's a tip: Try creating long tail phrases out of the individual keywords that generate the most impressions, combine them into a single phrase where it makes since and run those in separate ad groups for each individual phrase.
