hi,

I think first thing you must concern is "keyword" and "quality content" of your site. It's a thing that new google algorithm look for first priority.
Anyway, more backlink better, but you must look over all of them.

You can do link for every page. But might be aware that do not only so much links but provide the best, unique and meaningful content with your link. And select relevant keyword for your site.

You should surely create backlinks for each of your web page. Create more backlinks for important web pages and less for others. Don't create all backlinks for just your home page because your all information is not only on your home page.

backlinks mean when you get links from other sites, its mean when other site place your site or link on their sites, its call backlinks.

First do the proper on page optimization for your site. And then at last you should focus on creating the backlinks for your site.

ya you can get back links to the inner page of the site for that your on site optimization is should did properly keywords your focusing should be related to the site. Then you do off page optimization with all the inner pages you can get back links......

I agree with julianbooth123, First you do proper on page for your entire website pages and than after that start off page seo for your website. But must be white hat.

I have done page optimization for my site. But I think I will do more research on it, since Malachi Kelly mentioned about 4-5 keyword phrases. Mine are 3 keyword phrases. I want to see what comes up in 4-5 kw phrases.

when you start your banklink campiagn you have to first build up authority in your area. For example if your in the dating niche you will never rank for the word dating because all your competitors will have had more history and have built up a higher authority over time. you should consider starting with 4 or 5 word key phrases that have lower competition, which will give you a better chance to rank for those keywords.

I would suggest looking at the Google keyword tool to get a better understanding of the keywords in your niche and the searches and competition they obtain.

First you must know the keyword that you are targeting for your homepage and for the other pages of your site..Then create backlinks and used that keywords on your link building..
