Is it safe to outsource to build links?

They will probably be robot generated blog comment spam.

The sudden surge of links, particularly to a new site will be a big red flag. They would generally just not credit you link juice from links flagged as unnatural.

I have seen SEO advisers suggest limiting your links to numbers like 1 or 10 links a day.

When you say massive, what is the number. Google will ban you if you exceed some astronomical number (google it).

For $5 you don't have to worry, since you will get nothing that 'sticks' for that. Almost none will get indexed or they will take forever.

Your link frequency is a bigger factor. Better to get 5 links/day than 100 one day and none for a while. I would look to offers/services that get you links on a regular basis over XXXXX links in X days.

I would be careful about that many links, and if they're sold for $5 they're probably worthless anyways.

Get a manual linkbuilder on odesk.com for like $3/hour and have them build around 10 links per day.

Building "massive backlinks" to a one day old site with only five spun PLR articles for content. What could possibly look fishy about that? :rolleyes:

If you're lucky, you'll only be out the $5.

There is always a risk in buying backlinks specially when someone puts your link with content farm .

I would always avoid any such kind of automotad link building . Google allows it but with honesty as we are putting our backlinks as signature in this forum .

IF you are serious about IM and want to stay for long in IM then you should avoid it .

You don't want to build too many links too fast. In fact some marketers swear by no more than 2 - 5 per week in the beginning and then gradually grow their links to create the illusion of rapid, growing interest.

Some sources or experts have stated that you can build many links each day with no problem, stating that if getting 1000s of back links in a day were bad, you wouldn't see major news stories hit the first page.

And although this is true, when do these stories ever stick around for very long?

So it's a weird thing to try and answer. I do believe that growing links naturally is very powerful and can help with long term results. My personal rule of thumb is not to build a single link to a new page for a couple of weeks. I want it to age on it's own a little bit before proceeding.

But then there is the quality of links, where they are coming from, is a mix of dofollow and nofollow? article links, web 2.0, video? There needs to be a good mix.

I have hired many people in the past to do this task for me, and I have wasted a lot of money for nothing. It's really tough to find someone who understands this process. They end up blasting your page/site with a handful of keyword anchor text links to pages that have no reputation, page rank and have already been spammed a thousand times.

Even worse, what ticks me off are all the services that claim that they will give you PR 6 - 9 links. They will almost always get these links on profiles for sites that have this PR.

Although this can be good, and it's true that the link juice does get carried throughout the site, that page is still not a PR 6 - 7 - 8 or 9, and many times they are nofollow. Or those profiles can only be viewed once logged in, which means that search engines aren't even indexing them.

If you're going the Fiverr route then I'd suggest pointing the links at buffer pages. High quality sites that link TO you. These types of sites can usually handle a sudden surge of backlinks. But if your main site is still fairly new you'll be doing more harm than good pointing these links directly at it.

I've read more than one thread here saying
"I bought thousands of backlinks on Fiverr and now my site has disappeared from the serps. Whatever could be wrong?"

I made that big mistake of buying one of those things that said something like get "40,000 links and we'll submit your site to 5000 search engines.... Blah blah blah ect...."

The site was just about instantly junk. Never made that mistake again.

It's best to start kinda slow. Google will know that it's fake if a site is started yesterday and today it suddenly has a bazillion links to it.

It depends who you outsource it to. If you find someone that can do high quality backlinks at a normal "human" speed then I don't see how it can harm your site. It is all up to you though, if you think you can risk it, then go for it. Its also worth noting that one quality backlink is worth thousands of low PR spammy ones

I believe you need to know that your site is a new one, and my suggestion is not to build too many links to your new site so fast. You need to start to build gradually and then scale it up.

You shouldn't forget that you're dealing with Google...And

Their state-of-the-art algorithms are programmed to notice every small change.

So, if you were to go out and build 500 backlinks or more by using some backlink-building tool, what do you think is going to happen?

Google is definitely going to notice that. They're not stupid. They'll know you're getting these backlinks by using some black-hat or gray-hat method and this WILL hurt your rankings.

I believe you should understand what I am trying to say here.

The best form of link building strategy is to build steady, quality and consistent links back to your site.

Steady link building is the key. Mix it up with different types of links, different anchor text, etc. Then when Google changes the algorithm, you stand a better chance of surviving.
