Adsense + 3rd party links

Hi Guys

I've been contacted by someone to see If I would put a link (usual html style link) on my homepage in return for a monthly fee. Is this against Adsense TOS?

I'm sure I read something on here about someone who had their account banned for having a 3rd party link... but I'm probably mistaken.

You can have other ads on your website along with AdSense, as long as they are not automated contextual ads (the way AdSense works). And since the ad you want to use is not automated, I don't think it breaks AdSense's terms of service.

  Hi... thanks for the reply. Yes the ad would be html like I'd use to create a link in my sig so looks like will be ok.
  
  Just out of interest they have offered $15 a month... would that be an average fee for something like this? Should I ask for upfront payment, if yes what %?

That depends, about how much traffic does your website get per month?

As far as payment goes, it's really up to how you want to do it. Although, I'd ask for a 50% upfront payment if you are worried that the advertiser isn't going to pay.
