Backlink Checker?

Can anyone recommend a good backlink checker? With Yahoo Site Explorer running on fumes what other choices are out there?

I want to be able to monitor my backlinking to see if its working or not.

    I use backlinkwatch.com to check my backlinks, it is a nice website to check backlinks

    I use backlinkwatch.com to see some some backlinks. However, in general, it is not worth using backlink checkers because it doesn't matter. Google picks up every backlink, but they don't index a lot of the backlinks because there is no benefit to search engine users. Therefore, you should be more interested in the ranking improvement from the backlinks rather than how many are showing up in a backlink checker tool.

      Agree with you. If you are interested in a backlink checker to see you competitors I use an addon from scrapebox, or backlinkwatch[dot]com

      For this works great.

    The best free solution is Yahoo Site Explorer or SEO Spyglass.

    For basic review I like to use YSE. If I find a goldmine that I need to investigate further I'll then run it through SEO Spyglass. SEO Spyglass utilizes a few other mediums aside from YSE to check backlinks. For example it takes a look at Blekko.

    If I need to dig deeper for some reason I'll then turn to the paid solutions, like Open Site Explorer and/or MajesticSEO.

    More often than not though the free solutions will work just fine.
