[High PR Links] To Drip or To Blast? How Fast?

I want to start using high PR links to push my pages up the ranks. At what rate should I get these links? Will I be penalized if I get, say, 10 in a day, or is that a good thing? Or am I better off just drip feeding the links at 1 per day?

Your site won't get punish for building links too fast, and the only way to get your site into trouble is your on page optimization, especially when you do that during the backlink campaign, you risk end up in the sandbox.

However, in SEO, there is a term called link velocity, which my understanding is the momentum of getting backlinks to your site that makes your site move up or down. If you gain backlinks more than you lose it, you are ok.

For example, if someone spam 1000 low quality profiles links today, and lose 90% of them tomorrow, that will raise a big flag of spamming! So intelligent spammer will continue the spamming hopefully they can maintain the momentum, but eventually when the campaign stopped, their site will most probably drop in ranking following the lost of those backinks!

So, keep building backlinks that stick long is important, be it fast or slow...
