$5,000 mo with adsense possible?

I just wanted to know if any other warriors have reached that level of income using adsense? I bought a site recently from technical website who claims it's possible. My first site through them is making around $300 a month and I do no work.

My other question is, is there a limit with google on how many sites you can have making that kind of money? If not, i'm getting as many sites as I can.

Thanks in advance for thoughts/comments.

    You can build as many Adsense sites as you want... Google has no limit. But if for some strange reason your Adsense account gets banned then you're screwed.

    So be sure you're monetizing using other methods (CPA, Affiliate products) that way the traffic that you're getting won't go to waste.

    There are also alternatives to Adsense Heaven forbid your Adsense account is killed.

      What is so strange? As soon as you start to make a good amount of money, Google will take a deep look at your website/s.

      However, if you are earning more than $5k/m and you think you are fair enough, then you can probably hire a lawyer in order to avoid getting banned. Of course, if your websites are spun, you will lose.

    It's possible, but sounds like a scam where you got yours "Usually an adsense site will earn ranging from $30-$60+ for every $15 spent on extremely targeted traffic."
    Adsense arbitrage type systems have been dead for years.
    If these people could make that kind of money, they wouldnt be selling you the site, they would be making the money themselves.

        It gets around $60 thrown at it a month. It is all organic traffic, money was spent upfront on linkbuilding, it only gets a little bit now its ranked.

          Sure, 5K is possible. Look at that previous screenshot. It just takes a pile of traffic. I think I was around 11 million page views or so a month when I was over 5K consistently. Yet, when you start dealing with that much traffic, there are better ways to monetize then Adsense.

    Plenty of people make $5,000/month with one site. (Hell...even less than one site...only part of their site might make that much monthly via AdSense) Others might build 50, 200, or even 1,000 sites to make the same $5K or more.

    There are plenty of ways to do it. You'll see plenty of us arguing about the "best" way to do it.

    Don't listen to us. Instead, try it out for yourself! What we ALL agree on though:

    - Don't click your ads
    - Don't have friends/family click your ads
    - Don't buy sketchy traffic
    - Don't participate in click circles or groups (where you all agree to click each others ads...silly nonsense, that!)

    I could tell you we make well over 5K/month with AdSense and sales of AdSense sites...we detail our income reports each month. But, as with most things...who knows if it's true, right? I could fake that pretty easily of course. Screw me and others telling you it's possible...you're better off finding out for yourself!

    Of course it's possible. A really good site can bring in 1-2k a month through Adsense alone. I know some people have sites that bring in a lot more per site, but I haven't reached that level yet.

    It all comes down to experience, persistence and passion.
    • You can build small niche sites targeting high traffic EMDs and make $5000/month with 60 or 70 sites.
    • You can build bigger, higher quality sites that bring in a bit more money than the above method and make $5000/month with 20-30 sites.
    • You can focus on a few authority websites and build them out as much as you can. This will require passion in addition to persistence, hard work and focus (which are required to make any method work).

    One of my past clients took approach #1 and is making a lot more than $5000/month now.

    I tend to mix methods 2 and 3 - building medium sized sites and currently working on 2 authority resources. Authority sites can take years to build up, I've hired daily blog writers, etc... But both are on topics I love researching/writing about (one in health and one in finance).

    There are many other approaches to making good money with Adsense (build sites for people, not Adsense). These include document sharing sites, various resource type sites, community driven database/resource sites (think user submitted niche specific content), etc.

    edit: just give it a shot and see what happens. Experience/doing trumps reading/research. I build a site, it made around $8/day through Adsense in a month and I was hooked. That's all there is to it.

    Listen to Yukon, TryBPO and bnetwork. They all know what they are talking about, and if you search their past posts, you can find 3 different strategies that all are successful (I would recommend doing that right away).

    It really is a matter of taking action, getting started and finding out what works best for you.

    But believe me, $5000/month is very, very possible.

    If your adsense acct hits 3k a month I heard a lot of times it gets manual review

    One guy said he had many accts (he has many accts) like 4 or 5
    some he uses for testing extreme tactics, etc,
    but all his account history usually when the acct hits 3k a month it gets manual review and often gets banned (so who knows he might be doing something fishy)

    but is it possible I am sure it is, there are guys who own HUGE sites like Digg getting 100k /month

    Or you can just follow their guidelines and their policies and you won't get banned. The tax implications (and headaches) of having several LLCs (which you need for several Adsense accounts) shot down that idea for me. It's just too much hassle, when I can just do what they ask and sleep well at night.

    Could I randomly get banned? Probably, but I'll take my chances.

        Any sites of ours earning $500/month or more would cost you at least $10,000 or more.

        I know you were asking a serious question, but I thought I'd mention something funny I've seen. I've seen multiple people on oDesk looking to hire someone. In the job description, it mentions they want someone to come up with and build a site that makes $300-$500/month. Once they've proven it's up to earning $300/month they'll then pay that person $500, $900, etc. for the work and take the site over from them. Sounds funny, doesn't it? If someone can create a site like that, start to finish...why would they need the person hiring them? Why on earth would they then turn around and give it to the person offering the job? Anyone TAKING that job would be lying/crazy...but it really comes down to the person looking to hire not knowing what they're doing...

        Now, I'm sure your question was legitimate...and not silly like the above example I gave...but you'll see that anyone that can create a $500/month site wouldn't charge you an up-front fee...they'd be MUCH better off getting it there and charging you once it's up and running. They'd make anywhere from 6-10K on the sale of the site, heh.

        And...if they DO offer you to make a site that will earn $500 and charge you anything less than $5,000 it's very unlikely to come through.

          Exactly. Everyone who actually knows how to build sites that make money does this. Providing that money isn't tight, keeping a site for 3-6 months before selling shouldn't be an issue.

          Some time ago (when I needed funds fast), I started a minisite service. Clients did all keyword research themselves and we built sites for them. Nearly all of those sites have now been sold for 40-100x returns (not kidding). You will not see me selling mini site services ever again.

            It's completely possible and people do it all the time. As others have said, it can be done with lots of small sites earning a little bit here and a little bit there, or with just a few sites earning hundreds a month each. It all depends on how you want to approach it, how good your keyword research is, how competitive the niche is, what you do to promote the site(s) to get organic traffic (or if you use PPC), and what your CTR is. It's really important to test different ad layouts on your sites to get the best CTR, so you can maximize your Adsense income.

                        Ray just wanna chime in here. Im not sure what you are thinking. There are many people that can build you a website. But you asked for a website that can make you $20 a day. Once someone can prove to you that the website earns that amount of money then the going rate for that website would be around $5000 on Flippa.

                        So you have 2 choices. You either go to Flippa and buy a website making that amount of money. You might be able to get a good deal and maybe pay close to $4000. Or option 2 is have someone build you a website that makes $0 but with the hope that it will make money and only pay a small fee.

                        I don't understand why you would think someone would build you a site making that sort of money and then hand it over for peanuts. If the site they built is making $500 a month, why would they sell it to you for a couple of hundred dollars, rather then they themselves holding on to it for a few months and making thousands. Maybe I am not understanding your point.

      The biggest factor with Adsense is finding the right niche or idea. Tactics, techniques, development comes second.

      Here's a screen from one of my sites that bring in 5k monthly like clockwork. Notice the insane page views? It's an entertainment site - adsense is only 30% of it's income. You can have a site with 1/10th of the traffic and still make twice the income. It's all about the finding the right topic.

      I read the 100k Adsense Blueprint and the Fat Cat Blueprint and then formed my own plan from there. Funny enough both the guys that wrote those blueprints have been destroyed by Panda.

      Basically I learned how to link build rather then only going after easy keywords. At this point I am able to rank just about any term 1st page within 2 months. Its been a much better plan then scouring the earth for golden keywords that aren't difficult to rank for. I also quit my job after I was making $100/month because I knew I needed to look at this as a full time business. I took a risk, worked my a$$ off and now I am making some really good money. I love this stuff though. I work a ton because I want to not because I have to.

    Even if you have a site that is doing $5, rinse repeat, rinse repeat.....until you get to where you need to be.

    It's always the first dollar thats the hardest.

      If you do things right, when starting out, it's going to take you 2-4 "tries" to build a site that makes $5/day. Keep it for a bit, then sell it. Use the funds to build more sites. This only applies if start up capital is a concern.

      Contrary to what some people think, selling a good Adsense site for 12x monthly income is very easy. There aren't that many for sale on Flippa, because most deals are made privately.

      Yes, basically. But I would stop going after low hanging fruit.

      Instead of 100 sites making 10k per month, try to build 10 that can make 1,000 per month each. I feel that's better for long term especially if you're relying on search engine traffic.

    Its very much possible to make 5K per month only using adsense.I have seen many people make far more than this figure only from one of their many sites.Choosing correct niche,adding fresh contents,building organic traffic all these help you to get that figure and its also true that making that figure per month is not possible overnight.

    No what you don't understand is this:

    When I have the ability to make a site that earns $20 a day, I will either

    a) do it for myself or
    b) make it for myself and sell the sites.

    A site with $20 earnings a day is worth roughly $10,000 dollars on the market. I would be LOSING money if I built such a site for you for anything less than that.

    Ray, again. If a site earns $600 a month noone will sell it to you for less than $10k. The cost of making the site doesn't matter at all. What matters is how much money is coming OUT of the site.

    I can make you a website and spend 5000 dollars in doing this. If the website has $0 earnings, will you still pay me 5000 dollars for it when I sell it to you?

    Ok now I think you are trolling. This is the exact point I was trying to make.

    NOBODY will pay me money for a website that doesn't earn money.
    So WHY would ANYbody SELL you a website that MAKES money BELOW MARKET VALUE?

    If you want a website that makes $20 a day, you have to pay $10,000 for it, regardless of how much money it costs to actually build the site!

    It's possible but don't expect to get the money instantly.

    It will take time. I'd advise making some different sites, SEO'ing them up then getting targeted visitors over there. Easier said than done but there you go

    I think it really is possible. While its against adsense policies to share how mcuh you earn, I can tell from you personal experience that it is possible, although I myslef am not there yet, I am pretty close.

    Its all about the kind of traffic you get and of course your niche.

      No one is talking about buying or selling a website in here..

      I guess what I am asking is if someone can build me an adsense site that can potentially earn me 20 dollars per day. Obviously this site has to rank on the first posititon, so keyword research is essential, high cpc, great unique content.

      That's all I am saying

    People will build such sites, yes. But you have to do all the backlinking and ranking yourself and the potential earning is just that: potential. You will get no guarantee that the site will actually get there.

    There is no single best way. Decide on a niche, then see what the best money making options for that niche are. For weight loss for example you will find a lot of CPA offers and a lot of stuff on Clickbank and Amazon.

    For other niches Adsense might be your only option because there are no good things to sell in other networks.

    Here's a tip if you're new - start with a couple different niche sites and learn from experience. I recently uncovered a great niche with lots to write about, loads of relevant ads and a great overall CTR. Built a 20 page site, promoted and sold it.

    Right now I'm building an authority site in this niche, because I know that it works.

    You can build as many Adsense sites as you want... Google has no limit. But if for some strange reason your Adsense account gets banned then you're screwed.

    5,000 a month is defiantly doable. But, I do believe that you want to have fewer sites making more, than a lot of sites making a little. Also, I believe you should use other networks or CPA offers to supplement the Adsense income, just so all of your eggs are not in the same basket.

    it's possible, but adsense is very picky, if your site ever gets manual reviewed, it's likely to get warned or even banned if there's something bad, like if a user submitted bad content.
