How to Increase PageRank

Get inbound links from pages with high page rank. The formula for how much your page rank will increase based on an inbound link from a certain page is 85% of the page rank of the page divided by the number of outbound links on the page.

For example, if you get a backlink from a page with PR of 5, and that page has 5 outbound links on it (including the one to your site), then the PR of your site will increase by:
(0.85)(5/5) = (0.85)(1) = 0.85.

As you can see, the value of an inbound link not only lies in the page rank of that page, but in how many outbound links are on that page. Something to keep in mind when buying a link on a page with high page rank .........

High PR contextual and relative backlinks. Linkjuice flows at 20% max for dofollow backlinks. So the more the higher PR you will get.

Get high PR backlinks to get increase in pagerank, either by manual submission using article directories or paid links, or automatic submission by blasting it with software. There are plenty of ways backlinking, do what you can do and be patient.

Get backlinks on actual high PR pages, not PR0 or PR1 inner pages, but on the actual high PR page. That is a sure way to increase your pagerank.

One PR7 is worth more than 78,000 PR0s. Food for thought

Yes. I had a new site where I went from n/a to a PR5 in about 6 months. It is all in the links (i.e. quality over quantity, I only have around 250 links to that site).

Meta keywords have nothing to do with PR. Its all about Link Popularity as well as Quality Backlinks.

Dofollow backlinks from high PR pages will increase PR indeed. No need to write blogs. Only clickable, dofollow backlinks needed.

Point 1, 2 and 3 are 100% wrong. 4 is partially wrong. Backlinks from high PR sites would not help enough. Backlinks from actual PR pages would do the trickery. About Point 5 and 6, well most of the social bookmarking and networking sites are nofollow. And in this way backlinker's have to build thousands of dofollow bookmarks to increase little link juice of his/her target page.

Again its all about link popularity. Quality, Informative and Unique contents have no relation with PR.

In that case we dont need to diversify our backlinks. If you want to do spamming to increase PR you can build tons of dofollow profile backlinks only. Or thousands of dofollow article submission or write blogs and submit within hundreds of different blogging sites.

Backlinks from high PR PAGES would be helpful. 10 backlinks from 10 PR8 dofollow websites is not going to give you enough link juice while 10 dofollow backlinks from 10 PR5 pages will certainly flood your page by delicious juice.

There are lots of tools can blast backlinks to your site. Xrumer, Senuke, AMR, Scrapebox, Sick Submitter, Magic Submitter and many more...

But I would recommend you not to blast backlinks directly to your moneypages.

Nofollow links would not help to improve PR. Undisputed issue. At least for me.

According to me,For increasing the higher Page Rank you should increase your backlinks for your website. For increasing the backlinks you should follow some activities like forums posting,blog commenting and posting,social bookmarking,directory submission,article submission etc.They are very useful for increasing the pagerank for your site.

Indeed, unless you're planning to sell it (in which case PR helps a lot), just post as much unique content as possible, so you get many visitors from long-tail keywords and thus the site can make more money. Of course you must do a little quality linkbuilding as well.

Pagerank is increased by getting links from other pages with high Pagerank and low outbound link numbers - as several others have rightly pointed out.

It does NOT take a year to get Pagerank. The public Pagerank information is updated every few months but in reality Pagerank is changing ALL THE TIME, it's a dynamic metric.
