Looking for beta testers for Ninja Studio Keyword Manager
- SEO |
I have built a keyword tool that I am currently beta testing. For anyone who does the beta testing and gives me some feedback I'm giving them free multi-site accounts once I go live.
There's a fair way to go but the basic functionality is there. If you are interested please email me dan@webcircle.com.au to join the beta.
Here is a list of what the tool does right now - we also have about 12 major features I want to build before we make it properly live.
Allows you to manage keywords for multiple sites
The tool will prompt you on first visit to use the sites area to set up your websites. Make sure you set the location as this will be used for SERP tracking. You can add as many sites as you want.
Bring your keywords into the tool
You can bring keywords into the tool either by:
- Manually entering them (as many as you want)
- Importing a spreadsheet from the Google Keyword tool (in which case it will import associated data including search volume CPC etc).
- Import a spreadsheet from Hit Tail (for anyone who uses it)
If the keyword you are importing is in there already it won't import it unless you are doing it via the Google Keyword tool in which case it will update all of the details so you have all the search volume CPC data etc.
SERP Tracking
The refresh button next to the Google Position will use the Google search API to retrieve the position. I will discuss this feature more with beta testers in the email I send.
The info icon will allow you to see which page is ranking and you can click on it to bring up the page.
Keyword management
Once your keywords are in the opportunities tab you can do a few things with them:
- Trash (keywords that you put in the trash won't be added back into the tool if you decide to get keywords another way in the future so it's a way to kind of permanently ignore certain keywords). You can also permanently delete them from the trash tab in which case they can be added back into the tool.
- Working (this is where I would put keywords that you want to undertake tasks to rank for)
- Monitoring (this is where I would put keywords that you aren't actively working on but you still want to monitor the rankings for)
- Future (this is where I would put keywords that you may want to look at one day)
You can click on any of the columns to sort by that column and use the pagination down the bottom to decide how many keywords you display on any page. Displaying more will be a bit slower, for now I've capped it at 250 and then given a button to load in another 250 when you click it.
Task management
If you want to rank for a keyword there are tasks that you will undertake to do so. On the working tab you can add tasks to each keyword that you are going to perform in order to rank for the keyword. For now the only ones that really work are free text tasks. In the future we will also have inbuilt tasks that will enable users to order link building services from right within the tool. For now some of them are shown to give you an idea but they don't do anything.
