Sounds interesting, and could be useful. Is Pinterest still invite only? I was talking to a buddy that does a lot with pinterest and he mostly deals with weight loss on there since it's easy to post images of food and then link to a relevant low-calorie meal or something along those lines.

It's still invite only...but I have an account and can send as many invites as needed.

I almost want to build a list off names/niches that I can send to everyone that's part of the club....unless we setup some kind of shared google document that is password protected

Alright, then you should start with the basics of Pinterest. Check out the article I wrote about it. It will explain you how the basic terms + how to set up the ''Pin-it'' button too, which is really useful

Excellent.

I'm still brainstorming (Damn the caffeine from this Rockstar)...

Keep the group limited to 50-100 people....feature 1-5 users from the group each day....we all re-pin/like that users stuff....they go viral for that day.

Wash...Rinse...Repeat.

As we all go viral our followers will increase, and the group will just get stronger.

Before you know it....each of us is dominating the site.

Hey guys....I put together a 'Create Space' to keep track of everything...

Warrior Forum Pinterest : GroupSpaces

That we we can know who is apart of this. I've kept it private for now so I have to approve all invites. On there will be a directory available to everyone of all Pinterest profiles along with their warrior forum name.

I just confirmed your spaces group, and have also followed everyone.

Once we hit 25 in the spaces group, we can start targeting specific pins for everybody...i.e. feature say 3-5 pins for a day, so we can all repost/like them.

Again, I want to keep this as clean as possible. Don't post direct affiliate links to Amazon, etc. just to pictures on your site so people click through.

The more quality we push, the better response we will get.

I read somewhere (maybe here on Warrior Forum) that Pinterest stips out affiliate links and replaces them with their own. I thought a straight affiliate link was not viable anymore? anyone else read that?

I think just like with any other social networking, its all about posting good content and getting likes/follows. If you have a good post on your site/blog and share the image from that on Pinterest, your bound to get some people clicking through and seeing your site.

I've noticed that visits to my money site from pinterest generally have more engagement, with users visiting many pages.

To the rest of the group, I just sent out an email detailing our plan of action, and how we are going to begin.... We are at 13 members and I'm capping at 21 to start.

Once we have established ourselves, we can increase to 42 (divisible by 7, so all can be featured within the week).

Ah that would be a huge miss, since you have a massive amount of followers compared to the others. Very nice.

You might consider making a seperate board for this project. It won't affect the amount of followers you have I think. Might even get you more!

My idea is to start a pseudo 'warrior Pinterest club', where we Like, Share, and Follow each other so everyone gets some success. My goal is to create a group of like-minded people looking to establish some authority in Pinterest.

If anyone has a way of organizing this effectively, I think we should start right away. I'll think of some more stuff later tonight, but I think opening this idea to the community is the best way to get started.

To get the Ball Rolling...
For starters, I think each warrior should select 5 niches to pin stuff from. That way we all have a variety and can share and repin within on our own pin boards.

If we stay smart and post good content we will always win (i.e. don't post a pleathora of affiliate links...say 1 affiliate link for every 10-15 pins)

What do you all think?

p.s. this might not be totally white hat...grey hat perhaps...but I still think its cool

Thanks for joining carrotdogs. We have a lot of stuff in the works and are surveying the group to determine our next big step for growth. So far we have all seen positive results, and I think that this is the start of something really big.
