Description of site post-Penguin

I got into MNS 1 month ago and have a handful that are ranking in the first page (made a total of about 15-20).
I've noticed in the past 2-3 days, instead of the description of my sites (I used All In One SEO) Google automatically makes my description the first sentence of my homepage or my first post. This is fine for me, because I always include my keywords in the first sentence anyway, but is there anyway to get around this?
Anyone else experiencing this?
