Google Analytics Not Tracking Source Of Sales From Adwords

i'm running drupal 6 with a google analytics module on an ecommerce site. i buy a lot of adwords traffic and i'm making sales, but for some reason analytics is not showing sales as originating from google adwords.

i know that adwords is referring the traffic though because our sales are coming from places like organic where the search term is a product we have that is independent to us and they must have been to our site before, so its possible through adwords.

plus we buy a lot of traffic through there... at least SOME sales must be happening. yes, it's irresponsible to buy lots of traffic and not be tracking it, but this is why this problem needs to be solved.

does anyone know where i can start to investigate into this? perhaps the cookie is being over ridden when they leave the site and come back again?

i'm very confused on this and need guidance. i've researched everywhere, but can't find anything on this or how to check specifically.

"Organic" means they didn't come through Adwords to your site but from the regular search listings.
Maybe most of your sales aren't coming from the Adwords traffic?
Why don't you pause the campaign for a few days and see how conversions go.

Wow, thanks for actually responding. I have been asking this quesiton everywhere and no one has been responding really, analytics can be confusing.

Interesting thought. Yes, I know organic means it came from organic, but what I'm saying is that their search terms indicate that they must have come to our website in the past because the search terms are products that are unique to us, no one else sells them, and we are only online.

We are spending about $500/week on adwords.. do you really think it's possible no one is buying from this much traffic? I really think it's something not tracking properly, but you never know. I'm not sure if I'd be able to pause campaigns based on client, but interesting test.. thank you for that thought.

      What do you think?
