Is content really King?

How do you know that your Content is better than other People's Content?

Should you write long articles?

should you include Videos? images?

I have a hunch.

It's the type of content that's important.

try searching for "online calculators"

Is it an article? Or a script?

so which is better for the Users and Search engines?

Content is surely a king but a king alone cannot win wars.It has to walk hand in hand with other factors as well which are Keywords,meta tags,anchor text,alt tag etc.(or you can say they are soldiers of the king).

Hi Enzo,

The question is not whether a specific type or quality of content is king but rather whether it CONVERTS visitors into buyers/list subscribers.

To assess that, you should TRACK and TEST your content using tools like Google Analytics, Statcounter, clicktale, crazyegg, getclicky.com and/or Visual Website Optimizer.

To complicate the issue further, what works in one niche may fail in another and that's why building in testing into what you do in online business is essential.

Quality content is king. But don't think quality as length of an article. Think value for the user. If it has value users will link, tweet and share it.

I personally think that content is great in order to maintain visitors and/or convert them into sales..leads etc..and you can get links due to your content, so if you have really good content its king but in the long term.

Yeah Content indeed is a king. Search engine loves content but it should be original (no copied) and relevant.

Again, not necessary to write write long article but whatever you write it should be unique and relevant to your offerings. You can include images and videos but don't forget to optimize them.

Does it really matter? You need BOTH content + backlinks. You need BOTH quality content (long, correct grammer, etc) + quality SEO/Backlinks (high PR, diverse, optimized on-page, etc). The problem is you can't just pick one or the other...

I'd like content to be king, since I have a lot of it. Although nowadays I am just not sure (Although I'd have it anyway purely for readers) but check out this interesting blog post. Blackhat Post Penguin SEO That Works. Becker ranks a site with ZERO content. Makes you wonder actually. Also alot of golden nuggets

Content is Always king.Google accept new and fresh and unique content attract lost of users.Reader always like something new and unique. Google also need something new and unique. Because Google updated algorithm Like Panda,Penguin is totally based on content so content is always king.

Crap content is crap content. Great content is king. Yes, in the past you could put up spun articles and rank very easily with them, but those days are coming to an end. Make something of value and you'll be rewarded for it.

Content plays a vital role in seo, your content must be unique, interesting and genuine. It's better if you have media rich content which includes images, video. Keep update your website on regular basis. According to my suggestion it would be better if you create blog and update it on regular basis in order to serve content freshness to users and search engines.

Obviously in current time content is the real king for seo field. If you don't create your own unique content and copy from others, then your effort will go in vain. Google also gives priority to the unique content.

Not all contents are king, quality content is sure king. You don't know if your article is better than other peoples content all you need to focus on is creating a visitor friendly article that is brief, concise and informative. Writing a long article doesn't make it a quality one.

Content is king is you are wanting user's to be returning. A good article will increase your visitor's interest on what you are selling. Scripts are used to make things happen; if you are trying to use a script to increase your site in some sort of way for SEO purposes, I don't think it's a good. There are also other things that matter as well; keywords used, tags, link backs, etc.

I believe in clean coding as it will allow the crawlers to navigate and grab the appropriate links that are available on your site.
